What is Emotional Freedom Technique or EFT
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is a highly effective technique that uses the tapping on acupuncture points on the body to release negative emotions, trauma, and pain stored in the body and mind. Chinese acupuncture has been practiced for at least 3,000 years. EFT combines this ancient wisdom with cognitive psychology and is an impressive technique for eliminating emotional and physical problems by re-balancing the energy system of the body. It is a simple, rapid, respectful way of healing a wide variety of fears, memories, and disturbances.
EFT can bring noticeable improvement or complete elimination of trauma, abuse, stress, anxiety, fears, phobias, depression, grief, addictive cravings, children’s issues and hundreds of physical symptoms including headaches, body pains and breathing difficulties. It reduces emotional pain by at least half in over 90% of cases and eliminates the problem completely in about 70% of cases. Most problems are eliminated in one to five 90 minute sessions. Some are gone within the first few minutes. No needles, no pills, no pain. Best of all, you do not have to revisit an experience to heal its effects.
How Does EFT Work?
EFT is performed by gentle fingertip tapping on acupuncture points on the face, hands and upper body while keeping one’s attention on the problem, or if the memory is highly charged, a small aspect of problem. The theory behind EFT holds that negative emotional trauma (energy) can become blocked in the meridians. Meridians are electrical pathways in the body connected to our organs. Just as when boulders block a stream, negative emotions from our past block our energetic flow in the body like a blockage of blood flow to the heart. EFT tapping releases the blocked emotional charge in our meridians caused by our past negative experiences which produces our trauma, grief, anger, shame, guilt, fear, and other emotions. These blockages are largely responsible for all the physical ailments we see doctors for. EFT is safe, non-invasive, simple, fast, highly effective, portable and private.
