Tom has counseled college students academically, vocationally, and personally and has taught his own 
achievement principles in personal growth courses for over thirty years at community colleges in both San Diego and Riverside counties and at the University of California, San Diego Extension (UCSD).
Thomas Ventimiglia’s high-powered Quest for the Empowered Self Program has received rave reviews from a diversity of participants including educators, business groups, disabled groups, Native Americans, associations like ASTD (American Society for Trainers and Developers), honor societies, diversity conferences, counseling departments, and state agencies. Thomas also obtained the Outstanding Young American Award in 1998. He won the most prestigious Telly Award for excellence in Educational Television in 2005. The 26 module Television series, Quest for the Empowered Self utilized this book as the main source of content for the program. Tom and his television series also won a 1st place Western Access Video Excellence Award (WAVE) in 2005. He has since co-hosted the television program, now DVD, “Tapping Into Wellness: Energy Medicine for the 21st Century.”
